SAN DIEGO, Oct. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Filevine today introduced LOIS Voice Agents, AI agents that answer a law firm’s inbound calls, conduct triage and intake by using the firm’s approved questions, and automatically route calls based on reason for calling. Every call lands in the firm’s case management system with its recording, AI-generated summary, and transcript attached to the right lead.

Thirty-five percent of phone calls to law firms go unanswered, potentially costing firms new clients or leaving current clients feeling ignored. A LOIS Voice Agent is designed to answer the call, collect caller information, and identify the stated reason for the call. Based on the firm’s configurations, the agent can associate generic phrases such as “I was hurt” or “I have money problems” with defined categories such as “motor vehicle accident” or “bankruptcy,” help identify a potential practice area and service-area match, and ask the firm-approved intake questions associated with that category. Firm staff can review the resulting information and determine how to proceed.

After each call, the recording is transcribed, summarized, and scanned for details such as names, dates of birth, incident dates, police report numbers and insurance carriers. Firms can configure the confidence threshold for automatically associating a call with a lead. Any call that scores under the threshold is placed in a review queue, allowing staff to validate the proposed lead match or link the call to a different lead.

For attorneys, LOIS Voice Agents mean fewer interruptions and better-prepared first conversations. Instead of receiving only a voicemail or a scribbled message, an attorney picks up a lead with the caller’s account, key dates and a summary already attached, and is pulled in only for the calls that need a lawyer.
